What happened when SetterFlo took its first stand at South Summit Madrid 2026

In June 2026 SetterFlo took its first startup stand at South Summit Madrid. Stand 7, inside the International Lab and Madrid Innovation Ecosystem area at La Nave. Visitors scanned a QR, messaged the company Instagram live, and watched the AI reply in their inbox. The stand was a product demo, not a pitch deck. Show the thing working. Then talk.

South Summit Madrid is Spain's main annual startup gathering. The 2026 edition ran 3 to 5 June at La Nave in Madrid, co-organised with IE University, under the theme "AI Convergence".

SetterFlo is a done-for-you AI appointment setter for high-ticket Instagram coaches. This is what happened when the product hit a stand for the first time.

Where was SetterFlo at South Summit Madrid 2026?

Stand 7. International Lab and Madrid Innovation Ecosystem area at La Nave.

Published stand hours for Wednesday 3 June: 14:00 to 19:00. Co-founder Liam Coyle was on the ground on 3 and 4 June.

No flashy booth. A laptop, a monitor, a QR code. Support from International Lab (iLAB). That was deliberate.

The point was simple. Someone messages. They watch the reply arrive. Badges into a CRM can wait.

What did the live demo actually look like?

Three steps.

1. A visitor scanned the QR at the stand.
2. They sent a message to SetterFlo's Instagram from their own phone.
3. They watched the reply land in the Instagram inbox. On the demos that day, that reply showed up about 40 seconds later.

About 40 seconds is what happened on those demos. Not a promise for every conversation forever. Production reply times depend on Meta's API, the conversation, and how the account is set up.

The useful part was not the stopwatch. A stranger opened Instagram, sent a real DM, and saw a product reply without anyone typing for them.

People at the stand talked about the reply reading as human, not as a keyword chatbot. That is a floor anecdote. It is not a claim that leads can never tell the difference. Tone of voice is trained on a coach's own DMs and tested before go-live. How close it gets is something each coach checks themselves. The process is covered in how tone of voice training works.

Who stopped by the stand?

A few moments stuck.

• The King of Spain walked past the booth.
• Ángel Niño, Madrid's Councillor Delegate for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, stopped at the stand. SetterFlo was presented.
• Investors looking at AI in the creator economy came through. So did founders who sell through influencers and deal with the same inbound DM problem the product is built for. The conversations that mattered most were with coaches and founders who recognised the inbox problem immediately.

What did Impulso Madrid do around South Summit?

Impulso Madrid is the entrepreneur community Liam Coyle co-runs in the city. Alongside the stand, Impulso co-organised two official afterparties on the evenings of 4 and 5 June:

After the week, Liam wrote that about 638 people connected across those two Impulso-co-organised events, mixing Madrid founders with people from outside Spain. That 638 figure is his count for those two evenings.

Why it belongs here: SetterFlo is being built in Madrid, inside a community, not as a remote product with a Spanish domain. The stand and the afterparties were the same week for a reason.

What does this change for a coach reading this?

Very little about how the product works. Something about who is behind it.

SetterFlo still does the same job described elsewhere on this site. It answers Instagram DMs in a coach's voice, qualifies leads, handles common objections and books calls. The tech team sets it up. You do not build it in a flow builder. It runs on Meta's official API (see what Meta's API allows). Instagram only. English and Spanish. You test it in a private chat before it touches your live account.

What South Summit changed was the first public proof that the demo works with strangers on a noisy show floor. And that the Madrid ecosystem will put a first-time stand next to larger names if the product is clear.
